The whole process of self-storage can take days! From sorting out the hire of a van to acquiring cardboard boxes and god knows what else to put everything in, this is all before you even start packing, which is still prior to actually having to go to the unit.
Forget that! There’s so many other things you could be doing with your time!
At bySTORED we believe that if you let us do the work and save you a whole load of time you deserve to make the most of it.
We’ve put together five things that you can spend a Saturday doing that isn’t packing up a storage unit.
- Around the twist
What better way to spend some free time than getting the adrenaline pumping at a theme park. Close to London we have probably one of the best in the UK – Thorpe Park. With some of the biggest and most immersive rollercoasters and experiences around, this is the perfect place to let loose and really feel alive. The closest you would have gotten to this was sliding along the corridors of the self-storage unit on one of those flat trolleys (trust us, you will get in trouble for this – oops)
2. Crack a cold one (or two)
Us brits love nothing better than to spend a sunny (or any temperature in double figures) afternoon stood outside of the pub or in the park with a couple of beers and our group of mates, colleagues and anyone that would join us – this one’s for you Tim from flat B5.
3. Culture capital
London is probably one of the best cities for a mix of traditional and more contemporary/forward-thinking cultural experiences. The city provides something for everyone, from historic artefacts spanning centuries at the British museum to boundary pushing performances at the national theatre – you could literally do something every night of the week if you wished – and loads of stuff is free so you don’t even have to break the bank doing so.
4. Get your head in the game
London is home to some of the biggest sporting clubs in the country. From football to cricket to NFL and Quidditch?! No matter what takes your fancy, be it high intensity or something a little more relaxed – or both (chess boxing is definitely a thing here), you’ll find the club or venue that hosts your sporting passion.
5. How does being a naturist sound?
No, we’re not asking you to walk around oxford circus in your birthday suit but more like get outside and enjoy some green space! London is one of the greenest cities you can find with a whopping 47% of Greater London being dedicated green space. From the deer that roam Bushey Park to the swimming lakes at Hampstead Heath or even the Zoo in regents park – we know how to do a ruddy good green space in this city and us Londoners love nothing more than to get out and set up camp on the grass all weekend long.
